The first picture book written and illustrated by Takashi Murakami features Yume Lion, one of the irresistibly adorable characters the artist has produced over the years. The story develops with a rich array of onomatopoeic words playfully describing Yume Lion's changing expressions. The colorful Yume Lion, rendered in watercolor along with the motifs like Yokai monsters and retro Showa era house that reflect the artist's unique view on Japan gives the book a warm touch, further adding to its appeal.
