This special chili oil was painstakingly created over approximately one year with the chef of Xique Ting, through much trial and error, to achieve the flavor Takashi Murakami prefers. It is made with careful attention to ingredients and proportions. It uses plenty of fragrant fried garlic and fried onions, combined with chili peppers, long pepper, turmeric, brown sugar, and more.
It features a crunchy texture and rich umami flavor.
